Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes, on a badminton-sized court with a tennis-style net. It combines strategy, skill, and agility in a sport that’s accessible yet challenging.
Official Rules & Game Play
Basic Rules:
Scoring: Played to 11 points; must win by 2.
Serving: Underhand serve from behind the baseline; only one serve attempt.
Double Bounce Rule: Ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed.
No-Volley Zone: Players cannot volley within the 7-foot area (“kitchen”) near the net.
Singles or Doubles: Played in either format with the same court size.
